Guy Fawkes Day 2013

On 5th November our school celebrated Guy Fawkes Day. This year we connected this celebration with Potato Day that is strongly based in the local tradition. Children from Class 7 prepared a presentation about the history of this popular vegetable. Then all the pupils made potato men or puppets of Guy Fawkes. Children from Classes 4-8 took part in a quiz about The Gunpowder Plot. Everyone enjoyed it very much. However, the most anticipated part of that day was still to come. After the lunch break all the children took part in a bonfire. They could roast sausages and rolls. We were very lucky with the weather, so everyone enjoyed the day very much.
